Living Word Community Church

Giving Love Outside the Walls to those around us who may have a need or just to bless those in the community with love the way Jesus exemplified to us. We live, work, play, and worship with walls surrounding us everyday and sometimes forget that there is a world beyond the walls. A world that is in need of some extra love or extra hope and that is what this ministry is about. If you find you have been boxed in for too long and need to break out of these walls in order to bring hope or love to someone else, then this is the ministry for you. We would love for you to join us in some of our outreach ministries we have on a regular basis or keep checking in for new updates for upcoming and new outreach events. Below you will find a few of the ministries we have on a monthly basis and a few we are planning.

Urban Outreach
Where: Southeast, D.C.
When: The second Thursday of each month
What: Serving alongside the ministry called Urban Outreach by feeding the homeless, needy, and addicts located in Southeast, D.C.

Brown Bagging Ministry
Where: Leonardtown, MD
When: The last Tuesday of the month
What: Providing bagged lunches for the needy consisting of bologna and cheese on white bread, chips or pretzels, a fruit, and a cookie. Drop-off is at LWCC by 10:00 A.M. and the volunteered driver picks up the lunches and takes them to the soup kitchen at St. John's by St. Mary's Hospital.

Missions Trip to assist missionaries we support and to help areas in need: downtown St. Louise, Missouri; New Orleans, Louisiana; and many more. We will keep you posted on our newest trip and how to get involved.
